‘Our House’ explores the rituals, objects and ideas that make a house a home.
As part of the experiential program, Selfridges have teamed up with The New Craftsmen to create an immersive ‘A Home For All’ environment, which promotes and encourages people to learn the skills and techniques of British craftspeople.
The interactive workshop is themed around a series of domestic rituals – rest, gather, play and cleanse.
The eleven ‘Housemates’ are dressed in iconic egg outfits which compliment their personalities and roles. They will be on hand to assist participants, encouraging them to play, learn and ignite their imaginations through multi-sensory activities such as making sourdough bread, potato peeling and fabric dying.
'A Home For All' will be open in the Ultralounge on the lower ground floor of Selfridges Oxford Street until Friday 9th June 2017.
